Carolyn has earned the titles for Miss New Mexico Universe 1973, First in swimsuit for the 1974 Miss USA Pageant, Miss Florida 1978, Miss America 1979 (2nd runner up), and the talent award for the Miss America 1979 Pageant. She is a talented and versatile performer who plays a variety of instruments including the piano, organ, guitar, banjo, mandalin, flute, violin, and drums. Carolyn is a musician, singer, opening act, entertainer, and composer. She has earned a Bachelor of Music Degree from Eastern New Mexico University and a Master of Arts Degree in Music Education from the University of South Florida.
